MIAMI -- Landry & Kling, a firm here that specializes in meetings at sea, launched an upgraded Web site designed for meetings planners.

With a new address at www.landrykling.com, the site includes a wide range of educational tools.

"There was a need for a comprehensive Web site built with planners' needs in mind," said Joyce Landry, co-president of the firm.

Landry said a number of sites cover cruising and serve the group market, but none is focused totally on corporate and incentive programs.

The new 360-Degree Virtual Ship Tours program focuses on the ships of 20 cruise lines, giving visitors to the site a panoramic view of the ships' cabins, dining rooms, casinos and pool decks.

In addition, the virtual tours feature uses a programming language that eliminates the need for downloading special software.

The Tools for Planners section, which requires registration, includes a cruise-planning checklist, sample day-by-day agendas and a resort vs. cruise cost comparison.

Through Tools, planners also can learn about tax deductibility (and e-mail for more detailed information); see which cruise ships sail to what destinations, and find out about golf courses at ports.

A section called About Business at Sea features such topics as The Advantages of Cruises; How Cruise Meetings Differ From Other Kinds of Meetings; Meeting Facilities, and Types of Business Cruises.

Also included are sections on the company's cruise-management services and "hot dates," featuring special deals.

About Business is an updated version of information provided previously on the site.

The new site also features L&K's monthly newsletter, Corporate Cruise News.

Through the site, planners can request a free copy of the company's Business at Sea video and its Planner's Guide to Business at Sea.

Another feature is ShipSelect, a free ship-search and site-selection service, which also can be reached via another new Web address, www.shipselect.com.

Planners type in their meeting requirements, and a staffer calls back with two or three suggestions.

The new site also can be accessed through the company's former Web address at www.corporatecruises.com.

Landry & Kling, formed in 1982, is a subsidiary of Travel Services International Inc. and U.K.-based Airtours.
