Minneapolis targets gay, lesbian market with brochure

MINNEAPOLIS -- The Greater Minneapolis Convention & Visitors Association has produced a new brochure designed to target the gay, lesbian and bisexual market.

The brochure, which is called Minneapolis: The Coolest Place on Earth, promotes arts and entertainment in the city, such as museums and the Mall of America.

It also highlights gay-specific events and attractions as well as community support provided by the businesses and local governments in Minneapolis.

According to Yuko Miyamoto Gosda, international account executive for the GMCVA, Minneapolis is home to the largest annual free gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender festival in North America, GLBT Pride Twin Cities, and also has many companies that extend domestic partner benefits to employees.
