Though it is labeled the "official" Mundo Maya website, www.wotw.com/muncomaya/ serves as the only resource available and is recommended by Janice Staines Aguillar, Executive Secretary, Mundo Maya, until a comprehensive official site is up and running. This site focuses mostly on Mexico, but the four other Central American countries are mentioned. There is a small map and introduction, welcoming visitors to experience the mysterious ancient cities, jungle wildlife, festivals, or "fiestas" and the Maya culture, food and traditions.

Categories such as Archaelogy, Eco-reserves provide a list of important sights to explore, visiting time and how to get there, while Expeditions features a list of local tour operators serving the area.

For each of the Central American countries, a brief history of the country and its people are offered.
