N.Y. Groups Set Museum Pass

NEW YORK -- Heritage Trails New York and the Alliance for Downtown New York are jointly developing a Heritage Museum Square Mile pass good for free or discounted admission at downtown Manhattan museums during March.

Although details have not been completed, the pass also may offer discounted admission to classic downtown sites, including the Top of the World Observation Deck at the World Trade Center (usually $12 per person). The pass, which will be available at the participating museums, also will entitle holders to discounts at museum gift shops.

Heritage Trails New York is a 3-year-old nonprofit tourism group that promotes downtown Manhattan. The Alliance for Downtown New York manages the lower Manhattan business improvement district.
