New Hyatt in Florida takes bookings

BONITA SPRINGS, Florida -- Individual reservations are being accepted for the 456-room Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, set to open here Sept. 25.

Introductory rates range from $190 to $495 per room through Dec. 31.

The property, which will have a Regency Club level, will be next to an 18-hole golf course at the Pelican Landing planned community.

The hotel will provide a private beach island on Estero Bay for its guests and water shuttle transportation.

On site will be a 19,000-square-foot spa and 73,000 square feet of indoor-outdoor function space.

Also offered will be 27 holes of golf (designed by Raymond Floyd), a 19,000-square-foot full-service spa and Camp Hyatt for children.

The resort will feature five dining rooms, including one offering breakfast, lunch and dinner; a specialty restaurant featuring seafood; another offering cocktails and light snacks; the Marketplace for sandwiches and salads, and an outdoor pool bar that will serve food and beverages.

The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Naples.
