ORLANDO -- The opening of the 332-room Travelodge Hotel-Orlando International Airport represents Travelodge Hotels' 13th property in the area.

The hotel, less than two miles from the airport, previously operated under the Sheraton Four Points banner.

Guests have access to a courtesy airport shuttle 24 hours a day, according to Mike Leary, director of sales.

Room amenities at the property, which was renovated in 1997, include high-speed Internet access, courtesy coffee service and toiletries.

The hotel's Martinique restaurant serves three meals daily and provides room service.

Rickie Lee's, an entertainment lounge, is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., offering a Top 40s band, Latin music and disc jockeys.

Rates are $99 per night, single or double, through April; $79 from May 1 to Sept. 30.

Travel agents pay $39 a night or are housed free, depending on availability.

Group rates are quoted for 10 or more rooms. Motorcoach tour contracts offer a free room for the driver and a discount for the tour escort.

Agents earn 10% commission on room sales, Leary said.

Transportation to Sea World and the Universal and Disney theme parks is provided by Wincour Transportation. For rates, call (321) 689-4952.
