New York Summer: Liberty Science Center

Visitors who make the short trip across the Hudson to the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey's Liberty State Park will be well rewarded with a multitude of exciting exhibitions.

Recently installed permanent exhibits include "The Magic of Flight," which traces aviation history from the Wright Brothers to the present day, and "Exploring Earth's Energy," which explores a dozen different energy sources, from fusion to solar power.

Kids will delight in "The World of Peter Rabbit," a hands-on exhibit on view through Sept. 12, and "Mostly Music," a show running through next Jan. 3 that invites viewers to strike up the band, conduct a symphony or play a musical instrument.

Other attractions include the Kodak OMNI Theater with the largest IMAX Dome screen in the U.S.
