New cruise itineraries make debut

NEW YORK -- Several cruise lines announced details of new itineraries.

A sampling follows:

• China river specialist Victoria Cruises will include its popular Chongqing-Yichang itinerary along the Yangtze River this winter.

During the winter 2002-2003 season, rates start at $450 per person in a standard cabin, and go as high as $1,250 per person for a Shangri-la suite.

These sailings are commissionable to travel agents up to 20%, the line said.

Disney Cruise Lines began service on its western Caribbean itinerary May 11.

Port calls include Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Castaway Cay, Disney's private island.

The line will alternate weeks between its eastern and western schedules.

• The books opened on Peter Deilmann Cruises' first world voyage on the Deutschland, which begins Dec. 18 and ends May 4, 2003.

The cruise on the 286-cabin ship begins from the Canary Islands and ends in Venice, with stops in South America, Asia and Africa.

Rates start at $2,702 per person for 12-night segments; the cost for an inside single cabin run from $23,082 for the entire 136-night voyage.
