Norfolk tourism chief resigns post

NORFOLK, Va. -- Marshall Murdaugh, president and chief executive officer of the Norfolk Convention and Visitors Bureau here, has resigned.

He said he plans to open a tourism consulting business in Memphis.

In addition to his stint in Norfolk, Murdaugh has led tourist offices on behalf of Atlantic City, N.J.; Memphis, and New York.
