North Korea resumes tours for South Koreans

Tours to North Korea designed exclusively for South Korean tourists resumed after being canceled earlier this summer.

The tours were canceled following the detention of a South Korean tourist accused by North Korea of trying to lure a tourist guide to defect, the Los Angeles office of the Korea National Tourist Office said. The tours, operated by South Korean conglomerate Hyundai, depart by ship from the Changjon port to North Korea's Mount Kumkangsan.
