CHICAGO -- O'Hare Airport retained its title as the world's
busiest airport, with more than 69 million passengers in 1996, the
Chicago Department of Aviation said.
O'Hare's most impressive growth was on the international side,
with a 6.3% increase in passengers compared with 1995, and in
commuter service, with a gain of almost 8% in passengers on
commuter flights to and from the airport, the department said.
