HONOLULU -- One of Oahu's most popular hiking trails with visitors,
the Manoa Falls Trail, reopened in May, three months after the
state closed it due to rock slides near the waterfall.
Manoa Falls Trail, located in Manoa Valley just outside Waikiki,
now has a terraced wall where the rock slide occurred -- between
the end of the trail and the base of the falls.
"We are asking the public's cooperation not to climb over the
wall and enter the pool at the base of the falls," said a
spokeswoman for the state's Department of Land and Natural
Resources. "If people go beyond it, they are putting themselves at

get near the falls, the trail may be closed again.
