Ocean Point romance plans target high-end clients

SUNNY ISLES, Fla. -- Ocean Point Resort & Club introduced two romance packages for well-heeled clients.

The two-night Miami's Most Romantic package is priced at $3,650 per couple and includes a one-bedroom suite; long-stemmed roses, and the choice of a candlelight dinner on the beach or at View, the hotel's fourth-floor, oceanview dining facility.

While guests dine, their suite will be transformed by the hotel's "romance counselors" into a set from a romantic movie, based in part on an earlier consultation with one of the guests. There will be a drawn bubble bath surrounded by candles and a choice of aromatherapy oils.

In addition, rose petals will be scattered around the suite, chilled champagne and strawberries will be provided, and soft music turned on.

The next morning, breakfast will be served on the balcony or in bed. The package also calls for a beachside cabana at which massages for each guest will be ordered.

In addition, there will be a limousine ride to popular nightspots and a 90-minute consultation by each guest with a personal trainer or beautician.

A less-costly, two-night package called Simple Romance is priced at $1,350 per couple.

Included are a one-bedroom suite, flowers on arrival, dinner at View, breakfast on the balcony or in bed and massages in a beachside cabana.

Both packages also include use of the fitness center, umbrella, beach chair, unlimited use of nonmotorized equipment at the beach club, parking and local phone calls.
