The property, which is a joint venture between Omni Hotels and Interlocken Ltd., will be situated on 300 acres of Broomfield's Interlocken Business Park and will feature 390 rooms, meeting facilities, a 27-hole golf course, a health club and several restaurants.

According to Omni, the hotel is expected to attract both leisure and business travelers. About 50% of the hotel's business will be from the meetings and incentives market, according to Omni.

The property's 390 guest rooms, including 13 suites, will feature one king or two queen beds, two-line telephones, a high-speed data port, a business desk and views of the mountains or the valley.

The property will have 34,000 square feet of group facilities, including two ballrooms, 10 meeting rooms and a business center. Recreational options at Omni Interlocken will include golf, swimming and hiking.

The hotel's 27-hole golf course, which is being developed at a cost of $25 million, will open in September. The layout was designed by 1981 U.S. Open champion David Graham of Graham & Panks International.

Also featured will be a clubhouse with a full-service golf shop, a restaurant and bar, a driving range, putting greens and chipping areas. The course will be open to the public, and greens fees are expected to range from $75 to $115 for 18 holes.

In addition to golf, guests will have access to more than 15 miles of hiking, biking and running trails that link with the open space of the property. Four dining options will be available: Meritage, a gourmet venue with an outdoor patio; the Tap Room, featuring classic pub fare; the Lobby Bar, a casual spot for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, afternoon tea and desserts, and Fairways, the casual clubhouse restaurant.

Omni Interlocken will be located 20 minutes from downtown Denver, 10 minutes from downtown Boulder and less than one hour from Rocky Mountain National Park. Nightly rates at the property start at $159.
