Our Lucaya to host senior PGA tourney

LUCAYA, Grand Bahama Island -- The Senior PGA Tour heads to the Caribbean Nov. 9 to 11 for the Our Lucaya Senior Slam golf tournament.

The tournament takes place at Out Lucaya on Grand Bahama Island.

Among those competing are Senior PGA Championship winner Tom Watson and U.S. Senior Open winner Bruce Fleisher.

Golf enthusiasts can attend the event with two package options.

The Senior Slam two-night package, Nov. 9 to 11, is priced from $400 per person, double.

It covers deluxe accommodations, tickets and VIP Hospitality passes to the Senior Slam, daily breakfasts and lunch on Nov. 10 and 11.

The Pro Am/Senior Slam three-night deal is priced from $2,300 per person, double, and is valid Nov. 8 to 11.

The cost includes entrance fees for the Pro Am competition, the Pro Am Draw party on Nov. 8 and the Pro Am Awards dinner on Nov. 9.

Also covered are participation in the Butch Harmon School of Golf clinic on Nov. 9 and one round of golf at the Reef Course, the site of the Senior Slam. The rate is per person, double, for one golfer and one non-golfer.

US Airways will be adding daily nonstop service to the island from New York's LaGuardia Airport on Nov. 4, subject to Bahamian government approval.

Flights will be aboard 126-seat 737 aircraft.
