Pa. Agencies Get $8.5M in Grants

HARRISBURG, Pa. -- Fifty-one Tourism Promotion Agencies (TPAs) throughout the state received $8.5 million in funding to promote tourism. The amount represents the highest-ever level of funding for the state's TPAs; the money is part of a matching grant program, surpasses last year's state appropriation of $8.14 million.

The matching grants will be used to develop promotional materials, advertisements and for other marketing programs. Under the program, TPAs are eligible for $2 in state funding for each $1 they raise locally and spend in their regions on marketing activities.
