Pacific Delight cuts prices

NEW YORK -- Pacific Delight Tours here is marketing discounted plans to mainland China.

The operator is promoting eight discounted itineraries for departures in March, priced from $135 to $490 below comparable tours during the rest of the year.

Tours range from 10 to 12 nights in length and include a Yangtze River cruise through the Three Gorges and visits to the Great Wall; Ming Tombs; Beijing's Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City; Shanghai's new Shanghai Museum and the Jade Buddha Temple, and Xian's terra-cotta warriors. Tours depart from Detroit and Los Angeles.

Rates range from $1,890 to $2,420 per person, double. The price includes roundtrip air fare on Northwest Airlines; outside cabin accommodations aboard Victoria Cruises or Chongqing Yangtze Dragon vessels, all domestic air and land transportation. It also includes sightseeing and entertainment, all meals, the services of a bilingual guide, transfers and taxes. Add-on fares to Detroit and Los Angeles are available at a maximum of $190.
