Poised for a soft opening this summer, the Roosevelt New Orleans hotel is offering packages designed to reintroduce guests to the grand dame of Crescent City hostelry. The former Fairmont property has undergone $145 million in restoration and renovation and now is a member of the Waldorf-Astoria Collection.
The 116-year-old hotel, closed since Hurricane Katrina flooded the city in 2005, reopens in July. An official grand reopening is slated for October.
Its 504 rooms include 135 luxury suites. Facilities include the legendary Blue Room, Sazerac Bar and Restaurant, John Besh's Domenica Restaurant, a 12,000-square-foot Guerlain Spa and gym, a business center, private dining and suite butler service, an outdoor pool and a specialty gift shop.
The Roosevelt Returns Package includes accommodations from $139 per night, or $199 for a suite, as well as a welcome drink for two in the Sazerac Bar.
The hotel is also proffering its Summer Escape Package, with savings of up to $400, including a third night free when guests book two nights at the special rate of $139 or $199, for suites, per night.
Guests also get 15% off purchases at the Roosevelt Emporium gift shop; breakfast for up to two children, ages 10 and younger, at the Sazerac Restaurant with each paying adult; and a one-night certificate good at participating Hilton family hotels.
