Paradise Island tourists found dead

An American woman and a British woman were found dead Aug. 22 on Paradise Island, the Bahamas.

Authorities were waiting for autopsies to be performed on Joanne Clarke, 24, of the U.K. and Lori Fogleman, 23, of Virginia before establishing official causes of death. Meanwhile, however, both deaths are being treated as homicides by the Royal Bahamas Police Force, who are working with the FBI, Scotland Yard and Florida's Metro Dade police on the case.

If it is determined that the women were murdered, it would be the first homicide involving tourists on Paradise Island, police officials said.
