PHOENIX -- Several properties in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area are aiming to entice visitors with reduced rates. A sampling follows:

  • The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is offering the Royal Tee golf package and the Royal Indulgence spa package through Sept. 9.
  • The Royal Tee features accommodations; two rounds of golf on a choice of five partner courses; spa and fitness center admission; daily golf club storage, and use of a golf cart. Rates start at $305 per night, double, with a minimum two-night stay.

    The Royal Indulgence spa package includes accommodations; daily spa and fitness center admission with choice of one massage therapy, one body therapy and one salon service, and daily breakfast. Rates start at $385 per night, double, with a minimum two-night stay.

  • The Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix has a plan valid through Sept. 8.
  • It consists of accommodations, one round of golf per night, unlimited use of the practice facility, use of a golf cart and club storage. Rates start at $119 per night for a studio suite and $149 per night for a one-bedroom suite, single or double.

  • The Wigwam Resort, also in Phoenix, created a summer meetings package that consists of garden casita accommodations; continental breakfast; two refreshment breaks and lunch; a hosted, southwestern-style welcome reception; unlimited use of resort health club and recreation facilities, taxes and gratuities.
  • The package is valid through August at a rate of $143 per person, per night, double, and $209 per person, per night, single, for groups booking 10 or more rooms per night.

  • The Phoenician in Scottsdale has a three-night Ladies Links golf and spa package.
  • It features accommodations, two one-hour golf lessons and a nine-hole playing lesson with the Phoenician's golf pros, one 18-hole round of golf, two 50-minute personal training sessions with the resort's fitness experts and a choice of three spa treatments at the resort's Centre for Well-Being.

    Rates for the package through Sept. 15 are $1,635 for a single package, and $2,445 for a double.

  • The Pointe South Mountain Resort in Phoenix is giving clients a choice of a round of golf, a massage or dinner in addition to two-room suite accommodations at a rate of $179 per room, per night, double.
