Pink Beach Club to reopen March 20

TUCKER'S TOWN, Bermuda -- Pink Beach Club & Cottages, which has been closed since Dec. 10, will reopen on March 20 following winter refurbishments.

By the opening, the resort will have completed renovations of 13 cottage structures. Three buildings were redone before the winter closure.

In addition, the property's Hidden Cove Condominium project with 19 units will be open.

Renovations on 67 units in the 13 original cottages will sport new fabrics and furnishings, Italian ceramic tile floors, soaking tubs, Italian marble bathroom vanities, dressing areas and outdoor patio or balcony space.

These enhancements complement other room features that include individual air-conditioning units, direct-dial phones with Internet access and in-room safes.

Over the past three years, the resort invested more than $12 million toward restoring, renovating and upgrading its cottages, clubhouse and food and beverage facilities. Starting this spring, the dining room will be redone.

In celebration of the refurbishment and reopening, Pink Beach Club extends low season rates for stays between March 20 and April 14, with the minimum at $345 per per night, double, for garden suite accommodations. The price includes a full breakfast, traditional afternoon tea and a five-course dinner.

Starting on April 15, nightly rates begin at $415 per room, double.

The Hidden Cove Condominium project broke ground in November 1998 as the island's first beachfront condo complex. It occupies 16 acres of rolling hills and gardens and overlooks pink coral sand beaches.

Although its primary use is residential, short-term rentals of its single-story, three- and four-bedroom accommodations are available through the hotel. Guests have use of Pink Beach Club facilities.

Pink Beach Club & Cottages positions itself as a destination for couples, honeymooners, golfers, business travelers and families seeking a home away from home. It is a member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World consortium.

The property is four miles from the airport, about seven miles from Hamilton and a few minutes' drive from Mid Ocean Golf Club.
