Poll Finds Top Chicago Attractions

CHICAGO -- The Art Institute eclipsed the Museum of Science and Industry here in a survey of must-see tourist sites conducted by Continental Airport Express, which operates shuttle service to and from O'Hare and Midway airports.

Navy Pier came in second when Airport Express asked passengers what Chicago landmark topped their to-do lists, Airport Express said.

In previous surveys, the Museum of Science and Industry always came out on top by a healthy margin, the firm said.

More than 340 travelers participated in the latest survey.

The Art Institute received 50 votes; another eight passengers simply responded, "art museum."

Navy Pier pulled in 25 votes.

Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs, tied for third with Sears Tower, with 20 votes each, while the Museum of Science and Industry received seven votes.

Zimmerman's, a liquor store on Grand Avenue, earned one vote, Airport Express noted.
