extended its Silver Sailing savings program to select voyages in
2004. The line listed several of the sailings available under the
program, including a seven-day cruise from Seattle to Vancouver on
the Silver Shadow Sept. 1, a nine-day cruise from Venice, Italy, to
Athens on the Silver Wind Sept. 2 and a Caribbean voyage on the
Silver Shadow Nov. 8.
The Silver Sailing program gives passengers discounts of up to
half off the cruise-only fare.

Norwegian Coastal Voyages knocked $150 off the
per-person price of new bookings for its cruises to Spitsbergen, a
remote Arctic island between Norway and the North Pole.
Nine-and 12-day voyages between June 8 and Aug. 20 provide a
choice of a four-day sailing on the 163-berth traditional ship
Nordstjernen or a seven-day cruise on the 100-berth Polar Star
icebreaker. The expeditions include flights from New York to Oslo,
Norway, and Spitsbergen, the cruise, guides, shore excursions, Oslo
and Spitsbergen hotel stays, transfers and port charges.

Cruise West is guaranteeing whale sightings on
its Wilderness Waterways itinerary, an eight-day Alaska cruise
package on the Spirit of Columbia and the Spirit of Discovery. The
itinerary combines Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm with calls in Juneau
The package includes seven days on the ship and one in Juneau
and has departures through Aug. 30. Cruise rates range from $2,999
to $5,349, double.

Celebrity Cruises rolled out another one of its
Xpeditions excursions: racecar driving.
For $1,800 per couple, both can suit up in racing gear and hit
the track at the Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Fla. Guests
spend two hours behind the wheel of a Formula One racecar and get a
ride with champion drivers Justin Bell or Derek Bell.
The two-day post-cruise Xpedition follows select Caribbean
cruises on the Millennium, the Century and the Summit and includes
overnight accommodations at the PGA Resort and Spa in Palm Beach
