Radisson Cable Beach promotes 'Sweet' rates

NASSAU -- The Radisson Cable Beach and Golf Resort, set on one of this island's longest stretches of sand, hopes to win travelers' hearts starting this month with new Sweet Supersaver promotional rates available for stays this spring.

Available from Feb. 12 to April 17, discount, all-inclusive vacations during this period are priced from $200 per person, per night, double -- representing a 20% savings off standard rates.

The resort's all-inclusive vacation option features all meals and beverages; nonmotorized water sports, including sailing, snorkeling, kayaking and beach volleyball; island bicycle tours; use of the fitness center; a daily activities program; nightly entertainment; gratuities; and greens fees at the resort's newly redesigned, 18-hole golf course, now overseen by new leisure manager Frank Christopher Lewis, appointed in December.

Officials boast that the Radisson Cable Beach and Golf Resort is the only resort in the Bahamas to offer free greens fees as part of its all-inclusive program.

Discounted greens fees also are available to guests staying on a room-only basis.

Room-only Sweet Supersaver rates also start from $200 per room, per night, double, for the same period, according to resort management, which claims the property "redefines the concept of a tropical vacation" by giving guests the choice of "customizing" an all-inclusive or room-only stay.

Meanwhile, clients aren't the only ones to benefit from discounted rates this spring. The resort not only pays 13% commission on all rates -- including the Supersaver discounts -- but also is offering agents overnight fam rates of $125 per person, all-inclusive, or $99 per person, EP, to April 17, as well.

The fam rates apply to one travel agent and one companion per hotel room. One hitch? Participating agents must attend one site inspection of the 700-unit property during their stay.

Promoted as one of the Bahamas' "favorite wedding and honeymoon getaways," the Radisson Cable Beach and Golf Resort features standard guest rooms and suites; six restaurants; five bars and lounges; three free-form swimming pools with cascading waterfalls, whirlpools and a swim-up bar; the $2.5 million, par-71 golf course; Camp Junkanoo for kids ages 4 to 12; and Camp Junkanoo After Dark for teens.

The resort also is adjacent to one of the Caribbean's largest casinos and is 10 minutes away from the island's international airport and downtown Nassau.

To book any of the three discount spring stays, call (800) 777-7800 or access the GDSs using resort code RD. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or visit www.radissoncablebeach.com online.
