FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Radisson Seven Seas Cruises extended its free economy-air special to two East Coast gateways for guests on its June 7 Alaska cruise. The special represents a savings of $295 per person.

A previously announced free roundtrip air fare special from West Coast gateways applies to all seven Alaska cruises, with departures from May 26 to Aug. 9. A $195 add-on relates to Midwest gateways.

The East Coast offer is valid from New York and Newark on new bookings only.

Radisson's eight-day, seven-night Golden Nuggets and Ice Crystals -- Exploring Alaska's Treasure Coast cruise sails roundtrip from Vancouver via the Inside Passage on board the new, all-suite Seven Seas Navigator.

The 490-passenger ship, the largest in the Radisson fleet, has 11 suites ranging in size from 301 square feet to 1,173 square feet, including the balcony. Ten suites are interconnecting.

All have ocean views, a European king-size bed or twin beds, a separate living room, a stocked minibar, a walk-in closet, a TV and VCR and a bathroom with a full-size tub and separate shower. Nearly 90% of the suites have balconies.

The itinerary features an afternoon stop at Sitka, a cruise of Tracy Arm and an average of nine hours each in Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan.

FIT fares start at $2,995 per person, a savings of up to $3,200 a couple if booked at least 120 days prior to sailing.

The special is combinable with group, past-guest and Platinum offers. Those who book with a credit card receive a $200 shipboard credit. Fares include on-board gratuities, the stocked bar in the cabin and wine with dinner. Optional shore excursions can be purchased on board.

In Sitka, sample excursions include the Historic Russian America & Raptor Center Tour, the Sea Kayaking Adventure, Sitka Sportfishing and the Sea Otter & Wildlife Quest.

Highlights of optional Skagway tours are the Chilhoot Trail & Glacier Tour via helicopter, the Scenic Rail & Trail Camp Adventure, Glacier Point Wilderness Safari, Eagle Preserve Float & Lynn Fjord Cruise and the White Pass Scenic Railway.

In Ketchikan, land operators offer the Alaska Bear Watching Adventure, the Totem & Town Tour, the Misty Fjords Seaplane Exploration as well as the Misty Fjords Wilderness Cruise & Flight, among others.
