Radisson renovates its guest rooms

NASSAU -- The Radisson Cable Beach Resort here is undergoing a refurbishment of all of its guest rooms. The refit is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer.

The rooms will get new armoires, desks and chairs, nightstands and headboards. The resort's 18 junior suites will have new sofa beds, armchairs, cocktail tables and end tables.

New sofas, dining tables and chairs as well as television consoles will be installed in the 11 international suites. The resort plans to reconfigure its bedding by adding more king-size beds.

Radisson Cable Beach will have an equal number of king and double beds. The resort has designated five floors (175 rooms) as nonsmoking. Other room upgrades include the addition of clock-radios, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards and telephones with data ports.

A new restaurant called Islands opened at Radisson Cable Beach. The eatery serves Caribbean cuisine in a casual setting. The resort also added sailboats, frisbees and a pool table for guest use.

Radisson Cable Beach is offering nightly inclusive Supersaver rates that start at $195 per person, double. The rate is valid through June 30 and from Sept. 5 to Dec. 22. From July 1 to Sept. 4, the resort's Supersaver rates start at $210. European plans are also available.
