LAS VEGAS -- If your clients ever wanted to learn how to drive a
Personal Water Craft, Rebel Adventure Tours is offering four-hour
trips that not only teach driving skills but also include close-up
looks at Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. "It's the best way to see Lake
Mead and Hoover Dam," claimed a spokesman for the company.
Riders in the Personal Water Craft zip by ancient lava beds and
a volcano and see hidden beaches and coves. Riders also learn about
the history, geology, and the abundant plant and animal life in the
Lake Mead area. The final destination of the craft is the Arizona
side of the lake, which is home to Hoover Dam, where the water is
700 feet deep.
The Personal Water Craft used for the trip are three-seat
vessels with only two passengers allowed, giving riders more
legroom and greater comfort. The vessels, which are highly
maneuverable, have powerful 720-cc engines.
Rebel provides transportation to and from area hotels in a
15-passenger van. The price of the trip is $169 to $189, including
taxes. Groups of up to 25 can be accommodated. A spokesman said
discounts of $10 to $20 are available for groups.
