LAS VEGAS -- Singer and actor Rick Springfield assumed the starring
role in MGM Grand Hotel and Casino's stage production "EFX."
Springfield took over the lead role Jan. 30 from Tommy Tune, who
had starred in the show for two years.
More rock 'n' roll elements have been added to "EFX" to
capitalize on Springfield's 30-year career as a musician and
singer, according to resort officials.
Springfield, who has sold more than 18 million records and
recorded 13 albums, has had 17 Top-20 singles, including "Jessie's
Girl," "Don't Talk to Strangers" and "Affair of the Heart."
"EFX" is performed at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Tuesdays through
