RINCON, Bonaire -- Every year, Bonaire's oldest village celebrates
its traditions and the culture of the island on April 30 with a
Rincon Day was established in 1989 by an organization founded to
reintroduce Bonaire's youth to the island's past.
Activities include opening ceremonies featuring a speech made by
the prime minister of the Netherlands Antilles and the performance
of the winning band from a song contest.
In the weeks leading up to the event, local bands attempt to
come up with the year's best song dealing with the island's culture
