Rosewood unveils Acqualina, its first U.S. beachfront property

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts opened the $300 million resort Acqualina in Sunny Isle Beach, Fla., halfway between Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The Mediterranean-style property, Rosewoods first beachfront resort in the U.S., features 97 guest rooms and 118 residences in a 51-story tower, three oceanfront swimming pools and a private beach club. Each guest room has a private terrace with views of either the Intracoastal Waterway or the Atlantic Ocean.


Restaurants include Aaria, the Costa Grill and renowned New York Italian eatery Il Mulino. On-site, 20,000-square-foot spa ESPA at Acqualina will open this fall.

TheMiami Beach Resort & Spa, on Collins Avenues Millionaires Row, is offering $99 nightly rates and four themed packages this summer.

Deals include bed-and-breakfast, romance and spa stays as well as the Millionaires Package, priced from $1,200, double, per night through Sept. 30. Marriott and SeaWorld Orlando are offering kid-friendly vacation packages that include free admission to the marine park for kids ages 9 and under when parents book a minimum two nights at one of nine hotels. 

Valid through Dec. 31 if booked by Sept. 30, the packages include deluxe accommodations, one Adventure Pak Shamu (which includes a Shamu plush toy and an activity book) per child and in-park discounts.
