MIAMI BEACH -- Rubell Hotels here offers a two-night package at its
Albion Hotel in South Beach with several opportunities to
The Albion's Magic Garden Getaway features admission and drink
tickets for the hotel's Friday evening Magic Garden party as well
as admission to the new club, the Bar Room.
The rates for stays through Sept. 30 start at $349 per person,
double (plus tax), and include continental breakfast, valet
parking, VIP listing (for admission purposes) with Miami Beach
nightclubs and dinner at the Yuca (Cuban cuisine) and Pacific Time
(American and Pacific Rim menu) restaurants.
Agents earn 10% on the room portion of the package, which is
subject to peak period blackouts. Children ages 11 and younger are
housed free with adults.
In other news:Rubell reported that its 170-room Beach House Bal Harbour in
Surfside will reopen Oct. 15 after a massive renovation. Agents may
remember this hotel as the Palms Resort on the Ocean.
Rates will start at $200 per night, single or double, through
Dec. 20 for a cityview room. From Dec. 21 to 26, the minimum will
be $250; from Dec. 27 to Jan. 2, $400, and Jan. 3 to April 30,
Peter Heinen, vice president of Rubell Hotels, is general
manager of the new property.Rubell Hotels named Grace Vazquez director of sales and
marketing, a newly created position. Most recently she was national
sales manager of the Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino in San Juan.
Earlier she was with the National Hotel in Miami Beach, the Hotel
Sofitel in Miami and other properties. Rubell also owns the
Greenview Hotel in South Beach.
