Safari park receives negative inspection

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. -- Lion Country Safari, a 660-acre, 33-year-old attraction in Palm Beach County, received a negative inspection report from the Department of Agriculture last November.

The report cited unsanitary conditions and other animal welfare problems.

The report, according to owners, was exaggerated and corrective action was taken.

Lion Country Safari remains open.
