San Francisco to be home for 2 vessels

SAN FRANCISCO -- The City by the Bay will be home port to two ships on regularly scheduled programs to Alaska next year.

The Crystal Harmony and the Sky Princess will be operating Inside Passage service.

The Harmony will offer eight 12-day cruises from the Northern California port, on an itinerary that features Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia, and Misty Fjord, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Sitka, Alaska.

Some of the departures will also include Glacier Bay, Alaska. Prices (per person, double) range from $4,455 for standard cabins to $13,040 for a penthouse suite. (A Crystal Penthouse is priced at $17,080.)

The Sky Princess' schedule will consist of 11-day voyages, with one of 10 days, ending in Vancouver, at the end of the season. The longer itinerary features Victoria and Vancouver; Ju-neau, Skagway and Ketchikan, and Hubbard Glacier on the Alaska-Yukon border.

The shorter of the two Alaska cruises, which will position the ship in Vancouver to begin a Transpacific cruise to Hong Kong to start the fall season, features all of the above as well as Sitka.

The 11-day cruise is priced from $2,699 to $6,249 for a minisuite; the respective prices on the 10-day version are from $2,499 to $5,399.
