Seabourn tacks on 2 Southeast Asia sailings

MIAMI -- Seabourn Cruise Line added two January departures to Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam and Myanmar and Thailand, replacing two previously scheduled cruises that included Indonesia.

Both cruises are aboard the all-suite Seabourn Spirit. The first sails Jan. 19 on a 12-day roundtrip from Singapore to a variety of Thai and Malaysian islands, with a three-day call at Yangon, Myanmar. The stay features visits to the city's Shwedagon Pagoda, the Plain of Temples at nearby Pagan and the century-old Strand Hotel for refreshments and a Burmese musical performance.

On Jan. 31, the Spirit sails from Singapore to Hong Kong on a two-week itinerary that includes Thailand and Vietnam and features two days in Bangkok and visits to Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi as well as a cruise on Halong Bay.

Seabourn offers free economy class air fare and business class upgrades starting at $995 from 25 North American gateways. Early bookings savings of 20% off the published fare or a special promotional savings of 45% for cruise-only fares are also available.

The 104-passenger Spirit offers suites with balconies; an open-seating restaurant; complimentary wines and spirits, and the line's Pure Pampering program that includes gift toiletries and aromatic bath products.
