Service slowly resuming at Gulfport-Biloxi Airport

MINNEAPOLIS -- Northwest resumed limited service to Gulfport-Biloxi Airport in Mississippi Sept. 8 with service from Memphis.

Meanwhile, three other airlines are scheduled to resume limited service within the next week.

The airport said Delta will resume service from Atlanta Sept. 11, AirTran from Atlanta Sept. 13, and Continental from Houston Sept. 19.

AirTran President and CEO Robert Fornaro said his airline is committed to helping the community rebuild, and will work closely with the airport to assess demand and put flights back into the area as needed.
