LAS VEGAS -- If ever there was a perfect fit between a performer
and a hotel property, Rita Rudner and the New York-New York Hotel
& Casino are it.
Although she is more soft-spoken than hard-boiled, comedienne
Rudner is the quintessential New Yorker, with her sharp wit and
The 451-seat Cabaret Theater, which was built exclusively for
Rudner, is the perfect complement to her hour-long act, offering a
fairly intimate setting featuring rows of straight-backed chairs
equipped with plastic cupholders.
Single-serve bottles of wine and water can be purchased outside
the theater doors before ticketholders head into the show.
The show is scheduled to run through 2004. Performances are at 8
p.m. Sundays through Thursdays; 9 p.m. on Fridays; and 7 p.m. and 9
p.m. on Saturdays.
Note that the show does not start until the last person is
seated, even if that occurs after the show's published starting
time, according to the ticket agent at the box office.
