Sheraton JFK Airport aims improvements at biz travelers

NEW YORK -- The 184-room Sheraton JFK Airport Hotel in Queens implemented several improvements aimed at its business travelers.

The hotel created a Lobby Ambassador Program, under which a hotel manager will be stationed in the lobby at all times to address guest inquiries.

During busy periods, several managers will be assigned to the lobby.

  • To make sure more of its guests make it to the airport on time, the hotel added an 18-passenger bus to its transportation fleet.
  • The free shuttle runs every 20 minutes.

  • For early risers and guests who have to catch early flights, the hotel is now serving coffee in the lobby.
  • Guests can help themselves Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Operated by Starwood Hotels and Resorts, the Sheraton JFK Airport is participating in Starwood's Preferred Weekend rate program.
