Singles have date with adventure

BOULDER, Colo. -- Roads Less Traveled added a special departure for singles to its new Yucatan-Caribbean Multi-Sport Adventure.

Scheduled for Thanksgiving week, Nov. 21 to 27, the six-night journey will showcase the beaches, jungles and archaeological ruins of the Yucatan peninsula.

Activities will include biking, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling and horseback riding.

Highlights will include visits to the Maya ruins of Chichen Itza, Coba and Tulum; biking through seaside villages and jungles, and snorkeling or scuba diving at one of the largest barrier reef systems in the world. A Mexican version of a Thanksgiving dinner also is planned.

Featured accommodations include an archaeological villa, a colonial hacienda and cabanas with hammocks. The cost is $1,695 per person, double, including accommodations, meals, the services of naturalist guides, vehicle support and equipment. The trip, which is limited to 13 participants, is rated easy to moderately easy.
