Smith & Wollensky steakhouse opens on the Strip

LAS VEGAS -- A Smith & Wollensky steakhouse has opened on the Strip here between Harmon and Tropicana Boulevard.

The three-story, 600-seat restaurant, located next to the MGM Grand and opposite the Monte Carlo and New York-New York, includes a separate Wollensky's Grill, which serves more casual fare, and Mrs. Wollensky's Cigar Bar.

The Kitchen Table, a temperature-controlled, glass-enclosed private room, is located in the main kitchen and affords its occupants views of the restaurant's cooking action. The room can be reserved for up to 12 people.

Other private dining rooms, which can accommodate from 20 to 120 people, also are available. The eatery, which features private valet parking, is open from noon to midnight Mondays through Fridays and from 5 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Wollensky's Grill is open from 11:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. seven days a week. Reservations, which are not necessary for the grill, are suggested for the main restaurant.

For more information, the restaurant can be contacted at (702) 862-4100. To reserve a private dining room, contact Rochelle Bernstein, catering sales manager, at (702) 862-4100.
