PUERTO VALLARTA -- Sol Melia Hotels is augmenting its portfolio
with the addition of the 365-room Maeva All-Inclusive Resort here.
The firm will take over management of the property in April and
rename the resort Paradisus Puerto Vallarta.
The property is the only inclusive resort in the exclusive
Marina Vallarta district, boasting views of the Pacific Ocean and
Banderas Bay Marina.
The resort features three restaurants; two bars; two tennis
courts; nightly shows; water sports; boat excursions; snorkeling
and diving instruction; a children's program; meeting space for up
to 600 people, and the area's largest swimming pool.
The addition of the Paradisus Puerto Vallarta will bring Sol
Melia's lineup of upscale inclusive resorts to three; the firm
opened its first such property in Cozumel in 1994 and its second in
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in 1995.
