South African Airways slates agent education tours

NEW YORK -- South African Airways is offering three agent education tours with several departures for each program through the first half of 2001. Departures are from New York (Kennedy) and/or Atlanta.

  • The eight-night Splendor in South Africa features Cape Town, Johannesburg and Skukuza; a full-day Cape Point/Table Mountain tour; a visit to a private game reserve, and a half-day vineyard tour with lunch.
  • The price of $1,340 per person covers all air flights, accommodations and several meals. Departures from New York are Jan. 29, March 12, April 23 and May 21; from Atlanta, Feb. 13, April 17 and May 15.

  • The nine-night Wilds and Wonders of Namibia will take agents to the Windhoek Country Club, on a tour of Swakopmund and through the dunes of the Namib desert. Visits to Walvis Bay lagoon and bird colony and the Etosha National Park also are on the itinerary.
  • The agent rate of $1,476 per person includes all air and lodgings and most meals. New York departures are Feb. 5, March 26, April 30 and June 4; no Atlanta departures are planned for this program.

  • Beauty and Beasts of Kenya, also nine nights, features lodging at the Stanley Hotel in Nairobi; visits to Shaba National Reserve and Great Rift Valley, plus two nights at Masai Mara wildlife sanctuary. Only New York departures are scheduled, as follows: Jan. 22, March 5, April 2 and May 7.
