South America: Domestic pass

Four major South American countries offer domestic air

passes, which must be purchased in connection with an international air ticket. Here is a summary:

Visit Argentina: Four coupons purchased with Aerolineas international air: $420. Four coupons purchased with other carriers: $500.

Brazil Air Passes

There are three passes for Brazil, all valid for 21 days of travel, and all with high and low season rates. High season runs from Dec. 10 to Feb. 28 and from June 25 to July 25. Low season extends from March l to June 24 and from July 26 to Dec. 9.

Air Pass No.1: Covers all destinations in Brazil. High Season: One to five coupons, $540. Low Season: One to five coupons, $490. Additional coupons up to nine, $100 each.

Air Pass No. 2: South & Central Brazil. High Season: One to four coupons, $400. Low Season: One to four coupons, $350.

Air Pass No. 3: Northeast Brazil (Note: Travel must begin in the northeast, not in Rio or Sao Paulo). High Season: One to four coupons, $340. Low Season: One to four coupons, $290.

Visit Chile: Three coupons when purchased with LanChile international air: $250. Three coupons when purchased with other carriers: $350. Additional coupons up to six when purchased with La Chile international air: $60. Additional coupons up to six when purchased with other carriers: $80.

Visit Peru For passengers arriving from U.S. on AeroPeru: $70 (1 coupon), $140 (2 coupons), $204 (3 coupons), $258 (4 coupons), $312 (5 coupons); additional coupons $65 each. For passengers arriving from U.S. on other carriers: $81 (1 coupon), $162 (2 coupons), $234 (3 coupons), $297 (4 coupons), $359 (5 coupons); additional coupons $70 each. n
