South Beach's Waldorf Towers rewards agents with free stay

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- The Waldorf Towers, which completed a major renovation of its 38 rooms and four suites, added an incentive for travel agents.

Those agents who book at least 20 room nights through Sept. 1 will earn standard 10% commission plus a two-night stay at the property. The stay is non-transferrable.

The hotel, designed by Albert Anis, opened in 1937. The renovation entailed new bathrooms, flooring, furniture, and interior design. Also, the lobby was remodeled, and a restaurant, the Waldorf Cafe, was created, offering international cusine.

Independently owned, the Waldorf Towers offers a summer promotional rate of $109 per night for a queen-bedded room, and $119 for a Double. The rate expires Aug. 31.

The hotel is at Ocean Drive and 9th St. in South Beach.
