LAS VEGAS -- Saying it was another sign of its commitment to the
state, Dallas-based Southwest Airlines launched Nevada One, its
ninth themed aircraft in a fleet of 290 Boeing 737s.
Southwest has increased passenger count here by 264% in the past
eight years. With 141 daily departures from McCarran Airport, Las
Vegas is Southwest's third-largest city in terms of departures.
Southwest flies more passengers into and out of Las Vegas than
any other airline. Last year, the airline carried more than 7
million people to and from Las Vegas.
