PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas -- Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Paradise
Island opened following a $9 million refurbishment project.
The inclusive resort, formerly the Fun Club on Paradise Island,
closed last September for the renovations.
All rooms now feature tiled floors, a new phone system with data
ports and new bathrooms. The soft goods also have been

Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, safe, coffee maker,
hair dryer, iron and ironing board and cable television.
Through Aug. 31, rates range from $174 to $234 per person,

The cost covers three meals daily in the Captain's Table
restaurant; all beverages; entrance into the Island Stop Kids Club
for children under age 12; airport transfers; use of the fitness
center and tennis courts, and all taxes and gratuities.
The property is owned by Driftwood Ventures, Inc., a West Palm
Beach, Fla.-based hotel management company.
Driftwood owns and/or operates nine hotels and resorts in the
U.S. and the Bahamas, including the Holiday Inn Junkanoo Beach and
Astoria Hotel, both in Nassau, and the Resort & Casino at
Bahamia on Grand Bahama Island.
