Tall ship plans pay 13% commission

MIAMI -- Air Jamaica Vacations is paying 13% commission on its air and land packages in conjunction with the 2002 Americas' Sail tall ship event June 6 to 18 in Curacao and Jamaica.

Curacao, the starting point of the event, will feature the Parade of Sail into Willemstad harbor June 7 and the Curacao Sail Festival that weekend.

The tall ships will race from Curacao to Jamaica and dock in Montego Bay and Port Antonio June 14.

The Jamaica Sail Festival will take place June 15 through 17; the ships will depart June 18 for Tampa Bay, Fla., where the race will terminate.

Three- to seven-night packages are available at four properties on each island.

Rates at Breezes Curacao, for example, start at $1,019 per night for three nights, including roundtrip air from New York (Kennedy) or Newark, accommodations and meals.

In Jamaica, a similar package is offered at Breezes Montego Bay with air and land rates from $829 for three nights.

Island-hopping packages combining the two islands also are available.

An inclusive package with three nights at Breezes Curacao and seven nights at Breezes Montego Bay is $1,869 per person, double.
