TourTech marks 10th anniversary with tour planner

IRVINE, Calif. -- Celebrating its 10th anniversary as a Costa Rica specialist, TourTech is marketing the destination with a newly issued tour planner.

Each part of the country -- San Jose; the Guanacaste, Nicoya, mid-Pacific and Caribbean coasts; Arenal Volcano Park, and Monteverde -- is featured in one- to three-night packages.

Details on activities and excursions available to clients staying in these regions are included in the planner. For example, travelers booked for three nights on the Nicoya Coast Holiday have a choice of three hotels.

For those staying at the Punta Islita Hotel, activities will include horseback riding, snorkeling, a coastal boat tour and a boat trip to the biological reserve of Cabo Blanco.

Those who stay at Tambor Beach can journey to Tortuga Island and the Curu Biological Reserve or play golf at the 18-hole Los Delfines course. Available activities for clients who stay at the Sunset Reef are scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, sea kayaking and surfing.

Hotels offered on the mid-Pacific coast are El Parador and the Costa Verde. Activities available at both properties are deep-sea fishing, white-water rafting, sea kayaking, horseback riding and a coastal cruise.

TourTech also offers three different in-country transportation options for each of its beach, rain-forest or city plans. Clients can choose from the U-Drive option, which includes a four-wheel-drive vehicle rental and detailed travel maps, or the We Drive U option, which offers escorted ground transfers with a private driver.

A third possibility is Fly In & Out, consisting of point-to-point air transfers by local scheduled carriers. Eight-night escorted packages that highlight national parks also are in the company's Costa Rica program. These tours are operated daily for a minimum of two people.

The firm's Corcovado/Arenal/Monte Verde program visits Corcovado Rainforest Park, Cano Island Reserve, Arenal Volcano Park and Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The per person, double-occupancy cost ranges from $1,442 to $1,605, depending on the season, and includes most meals, accommodations, transportation and sightseeing.

Both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts are included in the eight-night Costa Rica Voyager tour, which visits the Tortuguero Rainforest Park, Arenal Volcano Park, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio and the Carara Biological Reserve. Inclusive costs range from $1,719 to $1,789 per person, double.

Cruises aboard the Temptress Voyage for three, four or seven days also are part of the Costa Rica offering.

TourTech's planner includes a Belize program, with three-night packages featuring jungle boutique lodges as well as seaside resorts in Ambergris Cay and Placencia. Commission is 11% when payment is made by an agency check; 10% when payment is made by MasterCard or Visa.
