NEW YORK -- Under the promotional banner of "French Adventures,"
the French Government Tourist Office will be reminding travel
agents and consumers alike that an adventure French-style might
"spoil you for life."
With contributions from well-known travel writers and
award-winning photographers, the seventh annual France Discovery
Guide takes readers on a 100-page tour of Paris and the provinces
and offers guidance on active holidays that explore the French way
of life: biking in the vineyards, hiking in the national parks,
horseback riding in Corsica, painting in art classes in Antibes or
taking cooking classes in Provence to get some local color.
The guide also presents a selection of what it calls "great
values" in transportation, accommodations and tours. The
publication contains maps, a calendar of events and insider travel
tips that will help visitors gain new perspective on what a French
vacation can be.
Agents can obtain copies by calling the French Government
