MILWAUKEE -- TransGlobal Vacations, a Mark Travel company, created a summer charter program to Orlando using Transmeridien Airlines from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

In addition, there is a separate tour series to Fort Myers, Fla., using scheduled Delta flights.

The Orlando charters begin June 19 and continue every Wednesday through Aug. 7, with three-night rates starting at $289.99 per person, double.

The Fort Myers plan operates Mondays, July 1 through Aug. 19, with rates starting at $534.99 for three nights.

The charters to Orlando pay a base 10% commission. When Delta scheduled fares are used to Fort Myers, the commission is 5% on the air portion and 10% on the land portion, regardless of whether the booking is made by phone or electronically, said a TransGlobal spokeswoman.

In addition to air travel (including a $20 fuel surcharge), packages cover accommodations in both destinations.

The lead hotel for Orlando is the Econolodge Maingate Resort, where children ages 12 and younger eat free (one child per paying adult).

Orlando vacations using the Buena Vista Suites begin at $419.99 for three nights' accommodations and a daily American breakfast buffet.

Vacations to Fort Myers, with rates beginning at $534.99 per person, double, feature three nights' accommodations at the Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa.

Clients who choose the Holiday Inn, Naples, south of Fort Myers, pay rates from $359.99 per person, double. At this hotel, children age 12 and younger eat free with an adult.

Prices do not include passenger facility charges of up to $4.50 each way, segment fees up to $3 per segment and a security fee up to $10 per person.

To book, agents can call (800) 338-2160. TransGlobal Vacations also can be booked using VAX Vacation Access and the major GDSs.
