promotions for short-term business. It now pays a 20% commission on
stays completed by Jan. 15, and the third night is free when two

A $43 MILLION renovation, including the
addition of a 24,000-square-foot Balinese health spa, was launched
by the Marco Island (Fla.) Marriott Resort. The redesign of two
restaurants, the 18-hole golf course and guest rooms are other
components, along with creation of a 10,000-square-foot ballroom
overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. April 2003 is the scheduled
completion date for the whole project, but some components will be
completed earlier, such as the ballroom, which is to become
available around February 2003.
ALSO RENOVATING was the Radisson Resort
Parkway, Orlando, which spent $15 million on its 718 units and
public areas, including a new atrium, tropical gardens and a
free-form rock waterfall in the lobby. Service and accommodations
meet, and in most cases exceed, the Americans With Disabilities Act
